Gaisma ("we", "us") is a personal planner app. This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible.
Location is only used if you allow it, and only when a feature needs it (for example Nearby). It isn't tracked in the background. Your rounded location or town is sent to OpenStreetMap services to find your town and places nearby, and to the assistant when you ask for local suggestions.
When you use the assistant, your message, a summary of your profile and plan, and your town are sent to Anthropic (the company behind Claude) to create the answer, and the assistant may search the web. Translation sends the app's text to Anthropic in the same way; translated text is kept in a shared translation memory (not linked to your account) so the same words don't need translating again. Don't share anything with the assistant you'd rather keep private. Answers can be wrong, so check anything important.
We don't sell your data, show ads or use your data for advertising.
To provide the app and the features you ask for, to keep your data in sync, and to fix problems. Under UK data protection law, our basis is providing the service you signed up for and our legitimate interest in keeping it working.
Your data is kept while you have an account. If you delete your account, your account and app data are deleted, and your error reports are removed.
You can see and change your data in the app, download a copy (Settings, Backup), and delete your account at any time (Settings, Your account, Delete my account). You can also ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or object to how it's used, using Settings, Report a problem. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Gaisma isn't intended for children under 13. Younger people should only use it with a parent or guardian.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and show the new version in the app.

By using Gaisma you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Gaisma helps you plan your day, food, training, money and goals. It's provided as it is, and features may change.
Food, fitness, health and money suggestions, including the assistant's answers, are general information, not medical, nutritional, financial or legal advice. Check with a GP before big changes to diet or exercise, and with a qualified adviser before financial decisions. The assistant can make mistakes, and event details, prices and opening times can change, so check before you rely on them.
Keep your password safe; you're responsible for what happens in your account. You can delete it at any time in Settings. We may suspend accounts that misuse the app.
Don't use Gaisma to break the law, harm others, try to access other people's data, overload the service, or misuse the assistant. Assistant use may have daily limits.
Your data belongs to you. Gaisma, including its name, design, text and code, is © 2026 Gaisma. All rights reserved. You may not copy, modify, resell or republish the app or any part of it without written permission.
We work hard to keep Gaisma reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses or for decisions you make based on the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law.
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the courts of the United Kingdom have jurisdiction.
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll update the date above. Using the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
